Emilia was brought up in an eclectic dance environment being born and raised in NYC. She started dancing when she was two years old at Diva Dance Studio in Brooklyn, and at age seven she began training with Edouard Kouchnarev at Brighton Ballet Theater. She remained a student at both studios until she graduated from LaGuardia High School where she developed a profound understanding of modern and ballet technique. She graduated with a BFA from NYU Tisch Dance and during her time there she expanded her movement vocabulary, had the unforgettable experience of studying abroad in Europe, and discovered different ways to define dance. She is currently furthering her studies at NYU Steinhardt in partnership with ABT to obtain a masters degree in Dance Education. Emilia is eternally grateful for all of the talented artists she has been blessed to meet over years of training at these institutions through their shared passion for dance.
